Frank T. Scruggs is a doctoral candidate at Nova Southeastern University in Florida. A graduate of Illinois State University and Governors State University, he is a professor of political science in Chicago. Much of his research addresses the perceptions of racism’s influence on workplace conflict and conflict management for African American managers in the corporate workplace (also referred to as Corporate America). His studies often involve understanding corporate governance, sustained dialogue and conflict management systems in corporations. This particular study provides a closer look at white and black American cultures, perceptions of racism, white privilege and corporate culture in the United States.
Leonard Kweku Torsu - (Nottingham, United Kingdom)
Leonard Torsu has Masters in Business Administration (MBA), an MCIPS (chartered procurement professional), Higher National Diploma (HND in strategic procurement management) and he is an Associate Procurement Director at a United Kingdom National Health Service (UK NHS) organisation responsible for managing procurement activities on behalf of 31 NHS Primary Healthcare organisations. He was previously a senior procurement manager - Strategic Procurement at Resource Collaborative Procurement Hub NHS (CPH), a federal government agency providing Health Care Services and Procurement Director at Eclipse Medical & Consumables Suppliers (EMECS). Mr. Torsu specializes in private and public sector procurement contracts and projects underpin with a strong knowledge and understandings in managing complex supply chain issues and projects, EU procurement regulations. In addition to day job, Mr. Torsu finds time to set up and pioneer a leading charitable organisation Healthcare4Africa. A charity focusing purely on the relief of poverty and sickness and the promotion and preservation of good health for the benefit of the public, in particular but not exclusively in sub-Saharan Africa, by the provision of healthcare centres and medical aid, equipment and assistance. Lamont Turner (Nashville, Tennessee)
Lamont Turner is a Franklin, Tennessee native, who graduated from Vanderbilt University (B.S. in Human Organizational Development: Leadership) in three years with Blue-Gray All-Star, Dean's List, and All-Academic SEC honors. After being released from the Cleveland Browns as an undrafted free agent, he started a career as a medical device sales representative. After almost ten years in the industry and after he married his immigrant wife, he chose to take a step back for a retrospective look at his UNDERDOg journey so that he could share it with others through his first book, WINNING Beyond The Scoreboard As The UNDERDOg – The Final Score Is What Counts!. After traveling abroad to Africa (Kenya), Central America (Costa Rica) and his wife’s native land (Dominican Republic), Lamont’s entrepreneurial, professional, international and cultural interests continue to evolve.
