Valerie Cordier-Rice is a senior at Sacramento Charter High School (SHS) in Sacramento, California. Her goal is to become an astronomer and work at NASA. "I work extremely hard in both breaking down obstacles that are in my way and of course in my studies so that I will be able to help my family and community in the future. I would like to attend Stanford or UC-Berkeley where I would get my PhD in physics and minor in astronomy. "

Jacob was one of the early members of the CV Drum News' Student Ambassadors Team (SAT), which was founded in 2008. It is comprised of students attending many of the nation’s top colleges and universities. The number of active members or interns at any one time will remain between a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 16. Today Jacob is one of six alumni of the SAT team who continues to contribute as a member of our "Under 30" cohort. _Lakea was one of the original members of the CV Drum News' Student Ambassadors Team (SAT), which was founded in 2008. It is comprised of students attending many of the nation’s top colleges and universities. The number of active members or interns at any one time will remain between a minimum of 6 and a maximum membership not to exceed 16. _Tamar graduated from Princeton University in 2008 with a B.A. in Anthropology and Minors in East Asian and African Studies. Tamar completed her Masters in Global Studies at Sophia University in Tokyo, Japan in 2010. She was an Ito Foundation for International Exchange Fellow in Tokyo from September 2008 to July 2010. She has also conducted research that focuses on a study designed to examine whether the ‘Globalization of Foreign Language Education” is a (concept) Vision or Reality.
